Stages of renting a property
- Review the property online – take a look at pictures and location via our website or Zoopla advert to determine if this property is right for you
- Contact our office to provide your details and book in a viewing
- At the viewing make sure you review all aspects of the property, and ask any questions you may have as our helpful team are there to assist you
- Make it clear at the viewing if you want to proceed with the property or make an offer, one of our team will explain the process and provide you with bank details to transfer the holding deposit which will secure the property and take it of the market, the holding deposit will not be anymore than 1 week’s rent for the property
- Once your offer has been accepted and a move in date has been agreed, we will provide you with application forms and request all personal documents from you in order to complete – right to rent checks / credit checks / references
- When all the above has passed we will send you the tenancy agreement for signature and provide you with all relevant paperwork and certificates for the property
- Once we have received the signed tenancy agreement we will book in the check in at the property for the move in date
- Before your move in can take place, we require cleared funds in our bank account for all associated costs for your rental. This will include the agreed amount of rent paid in advance (usually one, six or twelve months), a damage deposit (usually the equivalent of six weeks rent)
- On the move in date an inventory clerk will meet you to hand over keys, they will go through the inventory with you and get it signed
- Now it is time for all of us at Connaught Lettings to wish you the best in your new home, any issues you have during your tenancy you are able to contact us during our office hours
